Birdwatchers will love spotting the thirty-plus bird species living in protected habitats in the 200-hectare Lilleau des Niges nature reserve. While you're there, visit the Maison du Fier, a museum located right next to the nature reserve, with displays dedicated to Ile de Ré's natural heritage.
